EVERY DAY EXCEPT
FOR SUNDAY

The Craig County Public Library is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., Wednesday from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. The library is located at 303 Main St. in New Castle. For more information, call (540) 864-8978 or visit www.craiglibrary.org.

EVERY MONDAY

Weight Watchers Meeting starting at 4:45 p.m. and meeting at 5:30 p.m. at Craig County High School Media Center. Everyone Welcome – cost pending start date. For more information call 864-5191 ext. 4. Facebook/Craig County Weight Watchers.

SECOND THURSDAY

‘Too Young To Quit’ Senior Citizens meet at noon at The New Castle Manor. It is open to all seniors 55+. They have pot-lucks, bingo, go on trips, and have special speakers and much more.

EVERY THURSDAY 

Catawba Valley Farmers Market is open from 3:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Catawba Community Center.  LOCAL meats, vegetables, fruits, eggs, honey, fried pies, candies, and baked goods including cakes, pies, breads, cookies and scones. Handmade arts & crafts.  Music, special observances & cooking demos on occasion.  SNAP/EBT cards accepted and matched.  Mums, fall pansies, shrubs and other fall items available soon.  See the Facebook page for more information, including weekly newsletter. 

EVERY FRIDAY

Genealogy Library is open from 1 to 4 p.m., Old Brick Hotel Court & Main Street, New Castle 589-9164.

EVERY SUNDAY

Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. 8 p.m. at New Castle Fire Hall. 

THIRD MONDAY 

Craig County Citizens for the Constitution meets at 7 p.m. at the New Castle Volunteer Fire Department. 

FOURTH MONDAY

Craig County Historical Society meeting. Old Brick Hotel, New Castle. 7 p.m. 864-5866 or 520-5555

FIRST THURSDAY

Craig County Board of Supervisors meet at 6 pm at the Craig County Courthouse.

FOURTH THURSDAY

Craig County Department of Social Services board meeting, 6:30 p.m., 177 Court St., Second Floor, New Castle.

THIRD THURSDAY

The Botetourt/Craig/Roanoke Farm Service Agency County Committee meets the third Thursday of each month at 10 a.m. at the Bonsack USDA Service Center. Please call one-day prior to the meeting date regarding possible cancellation information. The Bonsack USDA Service Center is located at 36 Executive Circle, Suite 1, Roanoke, VA  24012.  All County Committee meetings are open to the public.

SEPTEMBER 20 – SEPTEMBER 24

Special services at New Canterbury Pentecostal Fellowship held nightly at 7:00 pm. and also including the Sunday Morning Worship Service at 10:45 am. The Services will be Ministering; Salvation to the Lost, Healing to the Sick, Deliverance to the Oppressed, and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit to the Spiritually Hungry. Speakers will be Pastor John Abbott and Zane “Sput” Jones. The church is located approx. 10 Mi. from Rte 311 on Rte 621 with the address of: 331 Upper Craigs Creek Rd. WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 27

See you at The Pole! 8 a.m. at Craig County High School. Sponsored by Fellowship Christian Athletes. Everyone welcome.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 30
Reunion of the baseball leagues from the 60s, 70s and 80s will be at the Moncove Lake State Park next to Gap Mills, West Virginia, at shelter #2 at 1pm. The teams will be from: Upper Craigs Creek, New Castle, Paint Bank, Waiteville, Sweet Springs, Gap Mills, Boiling Springs, Gold Bond, Big Stoney Creek and Sinking Creek. Bring your families and a covered dish as hot dogs and hamburgers will be provided. Also, bring your old pictures.
