Salem will play in the River Ridge District tournament at the Roanoke Country Club next Monday. They’ll be playing for a trophy, but Salem is already in the regional as everyone from 4A advances to the regional, scheduled for September 28 at the Blacksburg Country Club.

Last week the Spartans hosted a district match at Hanging Rock and finished third. Hidden Valley won the round with 307, followed by Blacksburg at 309 and the Spartans at 316.

Garrison Conner of Salem tied two others for medalist honors with a 74. Also scoring for Salem were Johnny Danstrom at 76, Daniel Poff at 81 and Brian Hutton at 85.

Salem will play a nine hole match today against Lord Botetourt at the Botetourt Golf & Swim Club in their final tuneup before the post-season.

Glenvar will play in the Three Rivers District tournament next Tuesday at Hanging Rock. The Highlanders were scheduled to play at Floyd on Monday of this week but that was cancelled. Today Glenvar will play at Alleghany.
