FSA 2017 Election Informational Meeting: July 18

The Farm Service Agency (FSA) will be conducting a second informational election meeting for the public on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. at the Botetourt/Craig/Roanoke FSA County Office. FSA election topics will include the following:

  1. General Role of FSA in the Community and

How LAA’s are determined

  1. County Committee roles and responsibilities
  2. How to submit nominations and Voter Eligibility
  3. The County Committee ballot, voting process, and how elections are held

Anyone interested in the FSA election process or interested in submitting a nomination to serve on the Farm Service Agency County Committee for Craig County or Roanoke County is encouraged to attend this informational session for the 2017 election. Newly elected committee members for Craig and Roanoke will begin their term of office January 1, 2018. Anyone with questions about this meeting or the FSA election process is encouraged to contact the county office at 540-977-2698, Ext. 2.

The Botetourt/Craig/Roanoke FSA County Office is located at the Bonsack USDA Service Center, Jack C. Smith Industrial Park, 36 Executive Circle, Suite 1, Roanoke, VA 24012-8939. The 2017 Election Informational Meeting will be held in the service center’s conference room.
