The Botetourt County Greenfield Preservation Advisory Commission (GPAC) is seeking community input regarding the future of historical preservation and interpretation at Greenfield.

The GPAC has been tasked with recommending a plan for the future of the Greenfield Historical Preservation Area to the Board of Supervisors. To accomplish that task, the GPAC has partnered with Hill Studios in Roanoke and encourages anyone interested to submit the online survey that’s now available through a link of the county website at www.botetourtva.gov.

The survey can be found on under “Announcements” on the left side of the homepage.

In addition to the survey, the GPAC is hosting a community input meeting at the Greenfield Education and Training Center on July 11. More details about that meeting will be announced later.

The online “Pre-Design Workshop Survey” asks 10 questions, some about the survey-taker’s association with Greenfield, and others about what the survey-taker envisions on the preservation area.

The survey also asks how the individual or an organization might use the preservation area, what contributions they could make, what’s important about the preservation area, possible changes and amenities and the perceived impact on the community.

The survey can also be accessed directly at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/P7DPSG2.
