Grace Craddock, 2014 Craig County High School graduate, was recently named to the University of Virginia’s College at Wise Dean’s List.

Grace was also awarded the Frances Currie Peake Scholarship at the UVA-Wise Spring Awards ceremony.  This scholarship is awarded to a rising junior or senior English major who has demonstrated excellence in literary studies.

The English department chair wrote, “Grace has emerged as one of the strongest majors in the department.  She is studious, thoughtful, and deliberate in her approach, and her writing reflects an ability to synthesize complex ideas.  Grace is also conscientious and has considerable time management abilities, as evidenced by her concurrent involvement in cross country, Catholic campus ministry, and the Peake Honors program.”  Grace will be a senior runner on the UVA-Wise cross country team in the fall and is pursuing a minor in education.  She is the daughter of Trevor and Mary Craddock.
