The cast of “The Mousetrap” prepares for Thursday’s opening. It includes (from left) Mrs. Boyle played by Kelly Hoagland, Miss Casewell played by Alexis Huffman, Christopher Wren played by Luke Whitmer, Major Metcalf played by Anthony Neal, Detective Trotter played by Jon Ragan, Mollie Ralston played by Kaitlyn Pinkard, Mr. Paravicini played by Wyatt Ewell and Giles Ralston played by Steve Aaron.

“The Mousetrap” opens this Thursday, May 18 at Attic Productions’ D. Geraldine Lawson Performing Arts Center in Fincastle.

Kerry Plank directs the Agatha Christie story about a group of strangers stranded in an English guesthouse where there’s been a murderer.

Trapped during a snowstorm, everyone has a secret and everyone is a suspect. Agatha Christie’s expert hand at spinning a mysterious tale has made this the longest-running show in history.

Cast members are Kaitlyn Pinkard, Steve Aaron, Luke Whitmer, Kelly Hoagland, Anthony Neal, Alexis Huffman, Wyatt Ewell and Jon Raglan.

The play runs Thursdays-Saturdays, May 18, 19, 20, 25, 26 and 27. Evening performances start at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday matinees start at 2:30 p.m.

All adult tickets are $12, with a reduced rate for those 18 years and under and for groups of 10 or more at $10.

Reservations are recommended by call the Attic Productions box office, 473-1001. Volunteers staff the office on Mondays and Wednesday, 3-7 p.m., and Saturdays, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. At other times, leave a message.

The theatre is on Roanoke Road (US 220) just south of Fincastle.
