Mac Fisher, 70, of New Castle, Virginia, met his savior and called heaven his home on April 3, 2017. He was born in Craig County, VA, on July 24, 1946. Mac was greeted in heaven by his mom and dad, Roy M. and Helen C. Fisher, brother Donnie R. Fisher and sister Bonnie F. Crush.

Those left to cherish his remarkable life are his wife of 52 years, Lorraine S. Fisher, his girls, Tammy (Rufus) Flinchum, Robin (Chris) Haga, Kate (Lelyn) Johnson, Mackenzie B. Fisher and his “little one” Audrey Lola, his trusty pup. He will also be missed by his four beautiful grandchildren, Ryan, Shawn, Zoey, and Dawson Haga, two special nephews, Ray (Anne) Crush, Leon (Diana) Crush and a dear cousin, Russell Caldwell.

Mac will also be missed by special friends, Perry (Debra) Brown, Roy (Donna) Jarrett, Freddie Arrington, and countless other lives of those he touched.

Mac learned carpentry skills from his dad at an early age. He used those skills as the General Superintendent for the Willard Companies, where he worked for 32 years developing Smith Mountain Lake. He loved being outdoors, working in his woodshop and going on vacations with his family.

Mac’s life was celebrated on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Paitsel Funeral Home. Pastor Kevin Altizer and Pastor David Wood officiated and interment followed at Huffman Memorial Park. The family received friends Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. A very special “Thank You” to his Carilion Home Health Nurses and Carilion Hospice Team, for taking such good care of our Dad.

Dad, we could not have loved you more, we only wish we could have loved you longer. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28. Arrangements were by Paitsel Funeral Home.  www.paitselfh.com
