Josh Woodrum, former Cave Spring High School quarterback and now a member of the NFL Buffalo Bills, will be the featured speaker at the Roanoke Valley Sports Club meeting on Monday, March 20, at the Salem Civic Center.  Meeting activities begins at 5:45 pm with the dinner at 6:00 pm and Woodrum speaking at 6:45 pm.

A native of Roanoke, Woodrum was quarterback for Liberty University for four years and graduated in 2015. He led the Flames to three consecutive Big South Conference football championships from 2012-2014 and finished as the Flames’ all-time career leader in passing yards (10266) and total offensive yards (10,600).

Woodrum has been a member of four NFL teams, first signing with the New York Giants. When the Giants released him, the Indianapolis Colts claimed him. The Colts waived Woodrum on July 19, and he was signed by the Chicago Bears, who released him on December 5.  On January 2, 2017, Woodrum signed a reserve/future contract with the Buffalo Bills.

Also, the Sports Club will be recognizing State High School Wrestling Champs.

Anyone not a member of the Sports Club and is interested in attending the meeting should call Joyce Montgomery at 354-6751, or Maggie Drewry at 353-1103.
