Christiansburg – A Christiansburg businessman has announced plans for a trampoline park that could create 30-40 new jobs locally. Terry Stike, the general manager at the NRV Superbowl, is looking to open a second “family entertainment” center at the former AdventureWorld Skating Ring, 200 Midway Plaza, Christiansburg.

“There is a need for this type of family activity in our area, and this is a perfect location for it,” he said.

The trampoline park will include an arcade, Dodge Ball arena, dunking basketball area and an ultimate warrior obstacle course.

Initially, Stike had thought about adding the trampolines at the bowling alley, but there simply is not enough room.

A similar trampoline park in Salem has seen a large interest over the past two years. “Trampoline parks are one of the fastest growing, and in some cases, the number one entertainment attractions in the country. So, I believe it will do well in Christiansburg,” Stike said.

He hopes to have the trampoline park open by early summer as the business must still go in front of the town’s planning commission and council for final approval.

AdventureWorld closed in 2014 and has sat empty for the past two years, except for being used as an auction hall.

Stike also plans to add two batting cages at the NRV Superbowl location on Arbor Drive.
