C.J. Miles scored a game-high 23 points for the Maroons.

Miles was one of four Maroons in double-figures, with John Caldwell and Joey Miller each scoring 12 points and Caleb Jordan adding 11 in the win. Washington and Lee got a team-high 19 points from Clayton Murtha.

Roanoke went on a 16-2 run early in the first-half, taking an 18-4 lead on a Miles three-pointer with 13 minutes to go in the half. The Maroons would push their advantage to 37-20 when Miller drained a three with five minutes to go only to see the Generals close the half on a 15-2 run to make it 39-35 at the intermission.

With the score tied at 41 early in the second-half, RC went on an 18-4 run that was capped by a Jordan bucket that made the score 59-45 with 10:40 to go in the game. W&L cut the RC lead to 59-49 with 9:43 to play but the Maroons would score 12 of the next 16 points, going up 17 on a Jordan layup with just over five minutes to play.

Roanoke was scheduled to host Emory & Henry on Wednesday. On Saturday the Maroons are at Eastern Mennonite for a 3 pm game, followed by a home game with Bridgewater on Wednesday, February 1, at 7 pm.
