The Craig County football team will begin practice this week with high hopes for the coming season. One of the reasons for optimism by the Rockets’ coaches and fans is the hard work the team has put in this summer in the weight room. Team members have been lifting three times a week and the results are obvious as the Rockets continue to get bigger, stronger and faster. Here Craig student-athletes work out during a session last Thursday and joining the team was graduated standout Carter Calfee, who is headed to Franklin County to play for Ferrum College this fall. This was Carter’s last day with the team before heading to college preseason practices.
