Craig County Public Schools has named Melinda Huffman its April Employee of the Month, recognizing her leadership, dedication and support for staff and students at Craig County High School.
According to the school division, Huffman has played a key role throughout the school year in organizing events and activities aimed at building positivity and strengthening staff morale through the school’s “Morale Mafia” team.
School officials said Huffman recently helped coordinate Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week alongside other members of the team. Her organization, creativity and attention to detail helped create a weeklong celebration designed to make employees feel recognized and appreciated.
In addition to her work supporting staff morale, Huffman serves as the division’s director of testing. In that role, she oversees divisionwide testing responsibilities, including coordinating schedules, training staff members and ensuring testing procedures are properly followed.
Craig County Public Schools praised Huffman for her professionalism, efficiency and ability to manage complex testing requirements while supporting schools and staff throughout the process.
School officials said Huffman’s dedication, leadership and positive impact on the division make her deserving of the Employee of the Month recognition.
Huffman received her recognition from Superintendent Dr. Jason Wheeler.
