The Waiteville Community Center will hold its annual Memorial Day Dinner on Sunday, May 24, 2026.

The meal will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the community center. Both dine-in and takeout options will be available.

The menu will include a choice of ham or chicken, scalloped potatoes, green beans, coleslaw, a roll, dessert and a drink.

The cost is $15 for adults, $10 for children older than 5 and free for children younger than 5.

Organizers ask anyone planning to purchase more than five takeout meals to notify Shelby Jennings before the event by calling 304-772-5503 or emailing shelbyjennings1958@hotmail.com.

The Waiteville Community Center also is selling spring raffle tickets for a patriotic lap quilt or wall hanging. Tickets are $1 and are available from WCC board members and at the Memorial Day Dinner.

The organization is seeking donations to continue restoration work on the building. Donations may be dropped off during the dinner or mailed to Waiteville Community Center, c/o Shelby Jennings, 7644 Waiteville Road, Waiteville, WV 24984.

Proceeds from the event will support the Waiteville Community Center.
