Craig County Public Schools has announced its 2025–26 Teachers of the Year, recognizing two educators selected through nominations from their peers for their dedication, leadership and impact on students.
Frances Foster was named PK–5 Teacher of the Year. District officials said Foster is known for her passion for teaching, her commitment to nurturing young learners and her ability to create a supportive, engaging classroom environment. Her work has left a lasting impression on both students and colleagues, according to the school system.
Geoff Boyer was selected as the 6–12 Teacher of the Year. Boyer was recognized for his dedication to student success, leadership and his ability to motivate students to reach their full potential.
Teacher of the Year honorees are nominated by fellow educators, a process the district said highlights the respect and admiration each recipient has earned from colleagues who work alongside them daily.
Craig County Public Schools congratulated Foster and Boyer for representing excellence in education and for the positive difference they continue to make in the lives of students across the county.
