The Craig County volleyball team will host Highland County for a Pioneer District doubleheader on Thursday, October 10. Both teams come into the week looking for their first win.
The Rockets were scheduled to play at Eastern Montgomery on Tuesday, but results were too late for publication. The Mustangs were 6-6 after a dozen games.
Craig comes into the week at 0-7 after losing a Pioneer match to Narrows in New Castle last Thursday. The Green Wave took a 25-10, 25-11 and 25-6 win.
Layla Dooley led the Rockets with nine digs, four blocks, three kills and an ce. Jenna Boitnotte had seven digs, an ace and two assists. Daileigh Donithan had five digs, Ashley Keen had a kill and a dig and Natalie Fisher had an ace and a kill.
The Rockets were scheduled to play Glenvar on Monday but that was postponed as the Homecoming football game was moved to that day. No makeup day had been announced at press time.
Next week the Rockets are at Parry McCluer Monday, at Narrows Tuesday and home to Bath County on October 17.
