The 41st Craig County Fall Festival is Oct. 12. Historical Society members have been making preparations. The 1800s loom used on Sinking creek for many years has been restrung. Carol Looney will be operating it on the third floor. Apples have been picked and processed. Fried apple pies will be sold on the porch of the Old Brick Hotel for $3. Nancy Sasser has cleaned up the well house behind the hotel, once used by several families who lived on the north end of Main Street. This is to continue the mission of the Historical Society to preserve local history. Shown from above is the well house roof getting a fresh coat of paint. To rent a space on Main Street, vendors are encouraged to call the hotel at 540-864-7023. Forms for vendors and car show entries can be found on the porch of the old hotel across from the county courthouse. -Submitted by Clay County Historical Society
