Patricia Ann Whiting, 86 formerly of New Castle, passed away on May 8, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Whiting; son, Wesley “Bud” Whiting; and son-in-law, Edwin “Butch” Harnack.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Diane Lugar (Alan), daughter-in-law, Melissa Whiting, Loretta Keffer (Greg), Lisa Harnack, Billy Whiting (Cindy); grandchildren, Nathan Keffer (Atiya), Emma Sellers (H.C.), Rachel Lower (Brandon), Nora Meyn (Brett), Carly Teller (Wyatt), Parker Harnack, Joe Parker Whiting; and 11 great-grandchildren, Aubrey Keffer, Charleigh Keffer, Joshua Keffer, Jackson Meyn, Ella Meyn, Anzleigh Keffer, Grant Sellers, Charlotte Lower, Austin Lower, and Brooks Teller.
Patsy enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, and gardening. She was a member of the New Castle United Methodist Church. She retired from Catawba Hospital in 2003.
A memorial service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 12, 2024.
