The 2023 Roanoke Valley Friends of NRA’s 32nd Annual Fundraising Dinner will be held on Saturday, August 19, at the Salem Civic Center.
The purpose of this event is to raise funds for 4-H Shooting Teams, Boy Scouts Summer Camp Shooting, JROTC Shooting Teams and Women on Target Shooting programs in Virginia. Funds raised are through a grant process. In 2022, over $400,000 was raised for the above-mentioned groups.
Local 4-H teams that are supported are in Botetourt County and Craig Counties. The Blue Ridge Mountains Council of Boy Scouts camps at Camp Powhatan will have over 6,000 Scouts go through the camp range. Many of the Scouts will be introduced to shooting for the first time. Each Scout can earn a shooting merit badge during camp.
Tickets for this event are $50 single, $90 couple, and $100 Patriot Package. Special table packages for eight range from $1,000-$3,000. These packages include a firearm as offered with the package.
To purchase tickets, call Roy Gross, 540-589-1711, or Al Milton, 540-797-7777. August 14 is the final cutoff date for tickets.
