Ladies from Craig Valley Baptist Church hosted a Mother’s Day tea party with food, lots of teas and fellowship. However, the evening came with a spin. They had a mystery story about someone stealing a Grandma’s prize-winning quilt and they had to guess who stole it after each lady spoke. The ladies got a little “boiled” for thinking that it was each other. The ladies (or suspects) were Becky Francisco – Grandma Nellie, Donna Francisco – Quilinda the owner of store, Andrea Jennings – Betsy the quirky quilter, Anita Martindell – Alice the quiet quilter, Mary Ellen Borland – Louise the “quezzy” quilter, Harper McKinley -Trish the quicker quilter, Margaret Hines – Marilyn the quitter quilter and Jordan Francisco – Molly the Quant quilter (who was also a model kind of girl who stole the quilt).

The mystery of who stole Grandma’s prize quilt was hidden in the talk that each lady (suspect) gave. Louise, the “quezzy” quilter told everyone about why she wasn’t the one who could have stolen the quilt, having an ailment about every 60 seconds, popping a pill for each. She brought belly laughs to the evening.

The setting for the entire evening at the Craig Valley Baptist Mother’s Day luncheon was engaging and relaxing. Each place setting had a napkin tied into a bow, with a happy Mother’s Day placemat and everyone was welcome to take the teacup and saucer home with them that was at their seat.
