Many people have trucks in Craig which makes it very easy to move items, however others do not.
In February, Rob Carper made it easier for residents to rent a truck or trailer to move their belongings by offering U-Haul box trucks, vans, pickup, auto transports, car dolly, enclosed trailer, open trailers and more at Carper Quick Mart and Supply.
“We do have a lot of residents moving in and out with no where local for moving support,” Carper shared.
Though the U-Haul process is time consuming, and it was difficult to get vehicles, he feels he has smoothed out some of the initial bumps. The costs start at $19.99.
Carper has also added his Hot Stuff Food by Orion Foods. “They may cost a little bit more, but they are really good,” Carper said with a smile.
They now have breakfast biscuits, sausage gravy biscuits and Carper said the breakfast burritos are probably their biggest seller with veggies and burrito mix in it.
They have the popular Cinnobabies and even a breakfast personal pan pizza.
He also has delicious chicken sandwiches. “Everybody that eats it says they love it! Yes, the chicken sandwiches are awesome!” he said.
They added hot wings, naked wings, egg rolls, cheesy garlic bread, burgers with anything and everything, hot dogs and waffle fries.
For a full-size pizza, it only take three and a half minutes to go through the oven. But they also have personal size pizza,
“We try to keep our hot rack pretty full as people like to come in and grab their food,” Carper shared. “Or, in three and a half minutes, someone can get a hot sandwich or pizza.”
Quick Mart carries all the regular convenient store items such as: snacks, chips, everyday needs, beer and even slushies.
Carper also sells a lot of farm feeds, including horse, cattle, chicken, pigs, dog, cat and more. “We try to sell the most popular items for the best price. Also, we sell GMO free and organic feeds now which many people probably don’t know.”
The hours are Monday through Thursday, 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays- 5am to 11pm, and Sunday 7am to 9pm. Call your order in advance at (540) 864-8822 or catch them on facebook. Quick Mart and Supply is located at 5178 Craig Valley Drive on Route 311.
Carper invites the community to pop in and try his new foods, check out the farm supplies or just say hi.
“I like to shop here rather than go to Roanoke because he keeps his prices very competitive!” one nearby citizen shared. “Plus, you can’t beat the friendly people!”
