Walton Paxton, 86 of New Castle, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, February 19. He was preceded in death by parents, Clifford and Daisy Paxton; wife, Joy Paxton; two brothers, William David Paxton (Mavis) and Mike Paxton; two sisters, Jane Kendall and Virginia Paxton.
Walt served in the Navy on USS Tucker during the Korean War.
He is survived by step-children, Sandra Hughes and husband Mike; Rhonda Zimmerman and husband Tommy; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby Paxton and wife Peggy; brother, Glenn Paxton; sisters, Leonna Filkins and Helen Coggsdale; sister-in-law, Betty Paxton; brother-in-law Larry Rex Hale; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He also leaves behind five step-grandchildren and eight great-step-grandchildren.
Funeral Services, officiated by Pastor Cody Rader, were held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, February 22, at Paitsel Funeral Home. Interment followed at Huffman Memorial Park with Military Rites performing by VFW Post #4491. The family received friends one hour prior to the service at 11:00 a.m.
