Anthony Flaccavento won the Democratic primary beating Justin Santopaitro.
“I look forward to the campaign because I enjoy visiting with constituents from across the 9th district and talking about the issues that concern them,” said Rep. Morgan Griffith. “My opponent and I have legitimate differences on the issues, and the choice facing the voters this year will be crystal clear by Election Day.”
Michael Cogar, Morgan Griffith’s campaign manager, had additional comments:
“This will not be the first time the residents of the 9th reject Flaccavento’s liberal policies,” Cogar said. He agrees with Nancy Pelosi that the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act is nothing but ‘crumbs’ to the American people. Cutting burdensome regulations and reducing the corporate tax rate has resulted in new economic growth for the country. The people of the 9th need someone that will actually put them first to accomplish meaningful legislation that will improve their daily lives.”
