For curious adults 50 and over in the New River and Roanoke Valleys, the Lifelong Learning Institute at Virginia Tech is accepting registrations for the Spring 2018 term beginning on January 8, 2018. Most courses begin the week of February 5. A full catalog can be downloaded from the LLI website at www.cpe.vt.edu/lifelonglearning; course and event descriptions are available online.

The League of Women Voters and the Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI) have partnered once again to bring the Great Decisions community discussion group on world affairs to the New River Valley in 2018. Great Decisions program materials are prepared by the Foreign Policy Association and include background information and policy options for eight critical issues facing America each year.

More than 340 members participated in classes and activities this past fall on topics ranging from Saudi Arabia and Global Change to Intermediate Memoir Writing and Ideas and Inspiration in Watercolors. This term promises even more rich learning opportunities, new friendships and new adventures throughout the New River Valley and beyond.

LLI Members have endless opportunities to learn, grow and thrive! Learn more about becoming part of an active learning community at http://www.cpe.vt.edu/lifelonglearning/. Register online or contact Leah Coffman at 231-4364 for registration assistance. If you are an individual with a disability and desire an accommodation, contact LLI at 231-5685 during regular business hours or at lifelonglearning@vt.edu at least ten business days prior to the first-class sessions.
