Russell Anderson, 70 of Oriskany, went to be with the Lord, Friday, October 13, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Etha Anderson; grandparents Andrew and Myrtle Anderson; and brother Charles Stanley Shifflett.
Russell was a special person who touched the hearts of many. He was a third generation farmer as well as a living historian of Oriskany. He took care of the elderly in Oriskany, and he will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his wife Patricia Anderson; special cousin Isaac (Skeeter) Austin; brother and sister-in-law James and Reta Anderson; sister and brother-in-law Edith and Mike Goff; special niece and nephew Wanda and Norman English; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 17, at the Anderson Cemetery. The family received friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, October 16, at Paitsel Funeral Home. www.paitselfh.com
