Thursday at approximately 8:45 p.m., Radford City Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash at 1611 Wadsworth Street.
The incident occurred when a pick-up truck was driven into R&R Market, there were no injuries, even though the store was occupied at the time of the crash. The building sustained approximately $15,000 in damage; the pick-up truck has only minimal damage.
The vehicle is owned by Blue Ridge Roofing and Home Improvement of Floyd and was driven by Daniel U. Howard, age 23, of Radford.
Howard has been charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle (felony) reckless driving (misdemeanor), and driving with a suspended operator’s license, 2nd offense (misdemeanor).
He was remanded to the New River Valley Regional Jail without bond. The cause of the crash remains under investigation and there is no further information to release at this time.
