Forest Service crews from the Eastern Divide Ranger District will work to complete a prescribed burn at Fenwick Mines in Craig County Friday and Saturday. Crews plan to burn 200 acres Friday and 500 acres Saturday.  The Augusta Hotshots and a National Park Service engine module will be assisting.

Winds from the west will carry smoke eastward toward the community of Oriskany and Botetourt County.  Conditions are favorable for good dispersal but there may be some signs of smoke .

If there are questions, District Ranger Cindy Schiffer will be available at 540-552-4641.  She is in close contact with crews at the fire.
