Craig County High School recently partnered with the Greater Roanoke Workforce Development Board to host its second annual job fair, bringing together local businesses, community members and school representatives to share information about employment opportunities in the region.

Students and members of the broader community attended the event to learn about potential career pathways, connect with employers and explore both local job opportunities and careers in education.

School officials said the event was designed to increase workforce awareness among students while strengthening partnerships between Craig County Public Schools and area employers.

Craig County High School officials expressed appreciation to the community partners who participated in the job fair and took time to speak with students about career opportunities and workforce pathways.

Participating organizations included Adams Construction Company, Altec Industries, AWP Safety, BGDC Distribution, Blue Ridge Behavioral Healthcare, Blue Ridge Job Corps, Camp Bethel, Catawba Hospital, Craig County Emergency Services, Craig County Public Schools, CSE Inc., Express Employment Professionals, G. & H. Contracting Inc., IBEW Local 26, Maag Gala Inc. and Titan America LLC.

School leaders said the willingness of local employers to invest time and resources in the event helps strengthen connections between education and industry while providing students with valuable insight into career possibilities within their community.
