Craig County Public Schools is recognizing its school leaders during Principal Appreciation Week, Jan. 12-18, celebrating the work of principals who guide schools and support students, staff and families across the division.

District officials said principals play a critical role in daily school operations, serving as instructional leaders, problem-solvers and advocates for both students and educators. Their efforts help create safe, supportive and successful learning environments throughout the school system.

“Principals wear many hats each day, from leading and listening to championing students and staff,” the school division said in a statement. “Their commitment makes a lasting difference in the lives of our students and the entire school community.”

Craig County Public Schools expressed appreciation for the dedication, steady leadership and ongoing support principals provide to teachers, staff, students and families.

The division specifically recognized Dave Dunstan, Susan Stimeling and Kellie Stevens for their leadership and service, thanking them for strengthening Craig County Public Schools through their daily work.
