The Little League “Challenger” baseball program will put on a fund-raising golf tournament on Saturday, September 28, at the Ashley Plantation County Club.
Little League Challenger is a 501c non-profit division of Little League Baseball that provides boys and girls ages 4 years of age and older, with mental and/or physical disabilities, the opportunity to experience the fun of playing baseball.
The golf tournament is used to raise much-needed funds for the teams and players. In addition to players the group is seeking help with donated items to be auctioned off or used for the tournament like water, sodas and snacks or any giveaways to be included in the golf bags for the 250 golfers. Also, hole sponsorships are available at various prices.
A “flight shotgun start” will get the tournament underway at 1 pm on September 28 and cost is $90 per golfer or $360 for a team. It will be a captain’s choice tournament and many prizes will be offered. Also, each golfer receives special tournament complimentary gifts.
To sign up for this very special event please call 540-600-4653. Deadline for registration is Monday, September 23.
