The Craig County Board of Supervisors at its March 7, 2024 meeting approved the use of ARPA funding in the amount of $996,631 to be used for the county’s new emergency radio system. The new equipment will allow the sheriff and all county emergency services to communicate better with each other and to access communications with neighboring county emergency services in order to provide better health and safety services to residents.
The total cost of the radio system is $4.7 million.
