The Craig County Rescue Squad had organized the Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 30. With the support of the Craig-Botetourt Electric Cooperative, Craig County Sheriff’s Office, CCRCA-Craig County Recreation and others, the event was fun for the whole family.
Chief Robert Wrzosek said that the squad “wants to bring the community together.” This is the second year the Craig County Rescue Squad sponsored the Easter Egg Hunt. The group organized the donation of eggs and candy, filled and “hid” the eggs across the four fields. Hot dogs and drinks were available. An egg collection bin was on site to collect empty eggs after the hunt.
The Craig County Public Library staff and volunteers were stationed at the entrance to encourage signups for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. The program is sponsored by the Craig-Botetourt Electric Cooperative for children up to five years old in the 24127, 24128, 24070, and 24131 zip codes since 2023.
