Craig County High School athletic director Carrie Hutton has been named the Athletic Director of the Year for the Pioneer and Mountain Empire Districts. She was nominated by the school principals for the Virginia High School League Special Recognition Regional Award, and in a vote of the athletic directors Carrie was selected the winner. Hutton was honored at Craig County’s football game with Montcalm last week and public address announcer Geoff Boyer paid tribute to Carrie as she was presented the award by CCHS principal Susan Stimeling. photo by Chelsea Louthen.
