Oct. 21
Waiteville Community Center (WCC) is sponsoring an Italian dinner night on Saturday, Oct. 21, 4-6 p.m. Don Shaw, a caterer and chef in the Northern Virginia area for 37 years, is leading the event. He and a group of close college friends have owned a vacation home in Waiteville for over 50 years. He is happy to share his knowledge and love of cooking through this Italian dinner night. He will demonstrate preparing rosemary focaccia, Caesar salad, asparagus risotto, Italian green beans, chicken marsala and zabione. Recipes provided. After the demonstration, participants will enjoy eating these wonderful Italian dishes. The cost of the demonstration and meal is $25 per person and limited to 30 participants. Nov. 2
The Craig County FFA students will host a spaghetti dinner at the cafeteria on Nov. 2, 6:30-8:30 p.m. to help with their fundraising. Everyone is welcome. For more information, contact Emily Nolen at the school.

Waiteville Community Center – 2nd painting of a pickup with Christmas tree, Saturday, Nov. 4,1-4 p.m. Teacher, artist Vicky Grant. $25 includes supplies you will need and can be paid at the event. Every Tuesday, Music Jam at Clifton’s Store Building, 158 Main Street from 6-8 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own instrument and chair. Cheese (like Clifton’s!) and snacks served. See the progress made and make a donation to complete the renovation of this town landmark. Sponsored by Craig County Historical Society.
Feeding southwest Virgnia will be offering food twice a month on the second and third Wednesday of the month from 3-5 p.m. and 4-5 p.m., respectively. All community members are welcome to purchase fresh produce and other canned and boxed items. EBT recipients receive 50% off their fruits and vegetables.
Booster Club of Craig Schools meet on the third Monday of each month in the school cafeteria at 6 p.m. Community members are encouraged to attend and to join to support the kids of Craig County as they need the participation of more people.
