Frances L. Drewry, 93 of New Castle, passed away on Monday, October 26. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Drewry, Sr.; parents, Amos and Lillie Lee; siblings, Virginia, Vivian, Agnes, Glenda, Amos, Fred, Buddy and Johnny; and daughter, Sharon Hale.
She is survived by son, Henry (Carolyn) Drewry; siblings, Juanita and Shelby; grandchildren, Eric (Jennett) Drewry, Tammy (Dwayne) Rock, Monica (Randy) Paitsel, Jacky (Gina) Reed, Dwayne Wyrick; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Briantely, Dixie and Kayla, Neil, (De’ahzha), Tamara (Bryan), Kerrigan, Kali, William, Samantha, Sydney, Kevin and Marcus; great-great-grandchildren, Skylyn, Camilla and Cara.
Frances worked as a professional seamstress for many years. After obtaining a degree in psychology, she taught for 17 years with Roanoke City Schools.
