Anita Fern Elmore (Tootsie), 89 of New Castle, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 29. She was preceded in death by husband, Bowman R. Elmore, and infant daughter. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law; Verlyn (Slim) and Bonnie Elmore, daughter and son-in-law; Angie and Johnny Beane, son and daughter-in-law; Clyde and Angela Elmore, grandchildren; J.B. and Dannette Beane, Andy Beane, Morgan and Jesse Mabes, Matthew and Kyndal Elmore, great-grandchildren; Morgan, Riley, and Bowman Beane, Autumn and Tripp Mabes, and Kylee Elmore. Two sisters-in-law; Peggy Winesett and Margaret Elmore, special friends; Joyce Fisher and Betty Smith.
A funeral service, officiated by Pastors J.B. Beane and Kenny Davis, was held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 1, at Craig Healing Springs Christian Church. Interment followed at Huffman Family Cemetery. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 31, at Paitsel Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Johns Creek Volunteer Fire Dept. 116 Dicks Creek Road in New Castle or Craig Healing Springs Christian Church at 6 Grannys Branch Road in New Castle.
