On Sunday morning, October 20, 2019, Bob Burger received his promotion to Heaven’s Gardens. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ashby P. (Joe) and Ozella M. (Berber) Burger; brother, Charles E. (Charlie) Burger; sister-in-law, Marie D. Damewood; brother-in-law, Quentin M. (Buzz) Duncan; and his sweet dog, Zack.
Bob is survived by his wife of 61 years, Geraldine D. Burger; sons and daughters, Bobby and Amy, Eric and Brooke; granddaughters, Haley Burger and Olivia Burger ( the apples of his eye); sisters-in-law, Lenore Burger and Evelyn Sheppard; brother-in-law, Calvin (Patsy) Duncan; and numerous nieces, nephews, and the “boys and girls” that called his house home.
The family would like to express their thanks to Friendship Health and Rehab, Salem Health & Rehab, Kindred Home Health, Lewis-Gale 6W Staff, and Craig County EMS for the exceptional care given to Bob.
A Memorial Service will be held 5:00 PM Friday, October 25, 2019 at the New Castle Christian Church. The family will receive friends 4-5:00 PM before the service.
