Jason Wayne Howell, 38, of Rainelle, West Virginia, was taken from his beloved family and friends on Monday, June 18.
Jason was born in Nuremberg, Germany, on July 29, 1979. He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Terressa Howell; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Howell from Bradshaw, Virginia; and Mr. and Mrs. Harlow from Oriskany, Virginia.
Jason was a hard worker. He was able to find a job he loved with Summit Design and Engineering as a CEI.
Jason moved to West Virginia in 2005 to be with Kassie Tolley, his best friend and fiancé, to start a family. Jason was an amazing father, partner, son, brother and friend.
Left to cherish his memory are his best friend Kassie, his three beautiful girls in Rainelle, Kathrine Alisabeth Howell, Kaelan Renee Howell and Morgan Kendalin Howell; father, William Howell of New Castle; mother Gabriella Schmitt of Roanoke; and grandparents Ursula Kahlert and Bruno Schmitt from Nuremberg, Germany.
He will be sorely missed by his siblings, Sherry Owens and Te’Ana Schmitt, Jeremy Howell (Heather) and Cole Schmitt, all from Virginia.
Jason will also be remembered by his West Virginia family, Father and mother-in-law, John and Tammy Tolley; Sister-in-law, Sarah Tolley; Brothers-in-law, John Tolley (Terrie) and Joshua Tolley (Jessi).
All his nieces and nephews will miss uncle Jason: Aleah, Isaac, and Will Owens, Nicholas All, Brayden and Rheagan Howell, Salyna and Clay Spence, Elijah, Jacob and Olivia Perkins, Laikyn, Levi and Jordan Tolley as well as Brooklyn, Eli and Baby Don Tolley.
Jason was very active in the “gaming world” and was a friend to many.
He will be remembered for his crude humor and ability to make even the unhappiest person laugh. We love you big guy! Enjoy Valhalla until we meet again….
Services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 24, at Wallace & Wallace Chapel in Rainelle. The Rev. John Keeling officiated the ceremony. Friends and family were able to view the body from 1:00 p.m. until chapel service began.
In place of flowers, a savings account has been set up on behalf of the girls at Summit Bank in Rupert. Any donations can be made directly to the bank or by contacting Wallace and Wallace for more information.
