The Craig County Prevention Team (CCPT) knows that thoughts of suicide cross all ages and walks of life. It attacks you just like a cancer attacks you with no rhyme or reason. If the illness is not recognized and left untreated, it can grow and affect the entire family. Suicide thoughts are a medical condition and in most cases, can be treated.
The safeTalk Session will help you to listen and become aware of the warning signs. If signs are detected, safeTalk will help you to ask probing questions to confirm your concerns. It will also guide you to respond and seek help properly.
To register for the session, call J.D. Carlin at 540-982-1427 ext. 145 or send an email to [email protected]. The meeting will be held at St. John Catholic Church on Thursday, June 21, from 3 to 6 p.m. Health professionals will be available to assist you in any way possible.
