Naomi Ruth Lucas, a beautiful, adventurous, free-spirited Child of God, departed this life on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at her home in the presence of her loving parents, Joann and Robert, beloved brother, close sister-in-law Daniel and Brenna Lucas.
All who knew her will forever remember her as the life of the party and the glue that kept the family together and always entertained. Her parents, who are also her best friends, describe her as their “sassy, gypsy who had a passion for life and those who surrounded her.” Her love for the people she touched will always be a testament to the big heart she always possessed.
Naomi had a passion for Christ that she did not hesitate to share with anyone she knew. In the Bible, the name Naomi means “Pleasantness” and a “Friend” and our Naomi will forever be remembered as such by all of us who remain to honor her life and precious memories. Naomi was born on January 12, 1994, into a wonderful family where the love of God and Family made the best of memories each and every day for the 24 years we were blessed to be together.
Naomi was preceded in death by one brother, Paul Anthony Lucas; Grandparents, Robert Jacob and June Marie Lucas; Other grandparents, Paul and Eula Fay May in addition to other precious aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Those left to carry on Naomi’s memories are brothers Daniel Ezekiel (Brenna Adair) Lucas, Robert (Bobby) Jacob (Maria) Lucas, Timothy Zechariah (Kirstin) Lucas, one sister April Lucas and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and awesome friends.
Visitation by family and friends commenced from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 27, at the Moody Funeral Services in Mt. Airy, North Carolina, followed by a service the next day at 2:00 p.m. which was officiated by the Reverend Brad Quesinbery.
