Ina Kirby Caldwell, 94, of New Castle, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, February 13. She was a member of the Forks of Johns Creek Christian Church and active in the Johns Creek Fire Department for many years. She dedicated her life to serving her Lord, her family and her community. She was loved by many and will be sorely missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, Wendell M. Caldwell; her parents Aner and Mattie Kirby; three brothers and one sister.
She is survived by two daughters, Patty Taylor and husband Norman, and Kay D’Ardenne and husband Roy; four grandchildren, Rodney Taylor, Kimberly Settles, John Larkins IV and Kirby Walke; and ten great-grandchildren and two very good friends, Rusha Epperly and Polly Frith.
Funeral Services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 16, at the Forks of Johns Creek Christian Church. Interment followed at Huffman Memorial Park. The family received friends 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 15, at Paitsel Funeral Home.
