The Blacksburg New School will be hosting their 12th Annual Chocolate Party event at the University Mall, 801 University City Boulevard on Saturday, February 10, from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
“The Chocolate Party has evolved into much more than just a fundraiser; it’s become a BNS Holiday. We have more than half our families contributing to this event, and the kids are so excited to be involved,” said Scott Lucas, BNS President. “It’s just a fun time and event to enjoy with the community. Our fantastic art program is on display, and we have Chocolate!“
The Chocolate Party is a terrific inexpensive family outing that supports a local educational community. Attendees can shop for delicious chocolate, fudge, cookies, truffles, cupcakes, gluten-free treats and fantastic Valentine’s Day gifts from participating families and vendors. Children will enjoy taking part in the Book Walk, playing carnival games, face painting, balloon animals, play dough fun and arts and crafts.
“The Chocolate Party changes a bit each year depending upon what fun things our families decide to do, but it always comes together as an indoor winter carnival full of delicious treats, Valentine gifts and terrific kid activities. The mall is transformed into this warm, chocolate-scented space full of shoppers and happy kids,” said BNS Lead Teacher and Chocolate Party Coordinator, T.J. Stone.
All proceeds from the Chocolate Party benefit the Blacksburg New School.
