Craig County’s Marshal Snider was a member of the Virginia Raptors 10th grade AAU basketball team that recently won the Commonwealth Games championship at Liberty University. This is Snider’s fourth season on the team, coached by Billy Shepherd. “I’m really proud of the point guard he’s become,” said Shepherd. “He went from a ‘shoot first’ point guard to one who gets everyone involved, and he’s also become a dominant defender.” Marshal, left with coach Shepherd, will be a junior at Glenvar High School this year.
