To the New Castle Record and the citizens of our special part of Appalachia,
Our Jefferson National Forest is about to be harmed and our water and quality of life severely damaged if we do not stop the Mountain Valley Pipeline project. One of the ways to do so is to object to the proposed change in Forest Plan management to allow for construction on very steep slopes, removal of old growth, dramatic reduction of viewshed protection of the Appalachian Trail and other landmarks and allowing severe erosion into our water supply.
Preserve Craig members are working diligently to stop MVP by working with experts and lawyers to object to the Forest Service, Virginia Department of Environmental Quality, FERC and Bureau of Land Management proposed actions. We need support and more donations to fight this. Please consider making a tax-deductible contribution by credit card via our website or by check to our address.
