On June 28, 2017, Dreama Geraldine Smith Farrier, age 89, of New Castle, made her journey home to be with her heavenly father. She was born in Paint Bank, VA, on April 13, 1928. Geraldine had a special joy that spread to everyone who knew and loved her.
She worked with Craig County ASCS agency for 32 years. She was blessed with a green thumb, and was a lifetime member of the Maywood Garden Club. Geraldine enjoyed her gardening, from which she provided and preserved for her family. Geraldine was a faithful member of Level Green Christian Church for many years. She carried on the family trait of deer hunting, fishing and loved the outdoors.
She was preceded in death by parents Bryan and Viola (Taylor) Smith; and brother Woodrow Smith and wife Irene. Left to treasure her memory are husband William Lewis (Billy) Farrier, Jr.; son William (Lewis) Farrier III and wife Cindy; grandson Justin Sarver; brother Gene Smith and wife Linda; sister-in-law Harriet Farrier Hypes; and many nephews, nieces and friends.
Funeral Services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 2, at Level Green Christian Church. Interment followed at Ross Cemetery. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 1, at Paitsel Funeral Home. Arrangements were by Paitsel Funeral Home. www.paitselfh.com
