Bridgett J. Oliver, 21, of New Castle went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 31, 2017. Bridgett was an honors nursing student at Radford University. She was to graduate in May and had accepted a job at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in the Labor and Delivery Department.
Bridgett also was an active volunteer with Craig County youth and a substitute school nurse at Craig County High School. She currently held part time jobs at Famous Anthony’s, Lewis-Gale Hospital and Hazel Bea Catering. Bridgett was very involved with the community and helped with many events at the Fort Lewis Volunteer Fire Dept. Bridgett was loved by everyone she met.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather Jack Oliver; grandmother Norma Bradford; great-grandmother (MawMaw) Lucille Parsons; great-grandfather Henry Parsons. She is survived by parents B.J. and Teresa Oliver; sister Chelsea Bradford; sister Maddy Oliver; brother Grant Oliver; grandmother Sharon Oliver and husband Dennis; grandfather Perry Bradford; great-grandmother Francis Oliver; boyfriend Dustin Ritter; aunt Christie Scott and husband Jody; uncle John Bradford and wife Lisa; uncle Jesse Bradford and wife Jessica; aunt Leslie Kotheimer; aunt Jennifer Reechia; cousins Nathan Scott, Jacob Bradford, Shiann Bradford and numerous other family and friends.
Funeral Services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4, at Grace Baptist Church with Pastor Chet Roden officiating. Interment followed at Oliver Family Cemetery.
