Craig-Botetourt Electric Cooperative is inviting students and children to help celebrate local lineworkers through its fourth annual Lineworker Appreciation Day Coloring Contest.
The contest runs from Jan. 19 through Feb. 13 and is open to all students and children. Participants are asked to color the official contest image, available online or at the CBEC office, and submit their completed artwork by the deadline.
Lineworker Appreciation Day will be observed Saturday, April 18, recognizing the men and women who work to keep electric service reliable and restored, often in dangerous conditions.
Each participant will receive a special gift from CBEC. One grand prize winner will be selected based on the most votes received on CBEC’s Facebook page. The winner will receive a $50 gift card and have their artwork featured in an upcoming issue of Cooperative Living Magazine. The winner will be announced Friday, April 17.
Only one entry per individual is permitted. Entries must be received by Feb. 13 and may be emailed to maiya.ashby@cbec.coop, dropped off in person, or mailed to CBEC, P.O. Box 265, New Castle, VA 24127. Submitted artwork may be displayed in the CBEC office, publications or on social media.
Official rules and the printable coloring sheet are available at https://www.cbec.coop/my-cooperative#cbec-in-the-community. For questions, contact Maiya Ashby at maiya.ashby@cbec.coop.
